Kitabullah is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our users. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application Kitabullah.

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal personal and technical data to provide you with account management and essential features of the Application.

A. Personal Account Data

  • Data Collected: Full Name, Email Address, Password, and Profile Picture (optional).
  • Purpose & Usage: Your email address and password are used strictly for user authentication, signup/login management, and account security. If uploaded, your profile picture is displayed only within your in-app profile.
  • Our Commitment: We NEVER sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information or profile picture with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

B. Location Data

  • Permissions Requested: ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION.
  • Purpose & Usage: Location data is processed locally on your device solely to calculate accurate Prayer Times (Salat) and determine the Qibla direction based on your geographic location. We do not store or track your location history.

C. Device Permissions & System Services

  • Notifications & Alarms: The Application requests POST_NOTIFICATIONS and SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM permissions to deliver Azan reminders and alarm alerts.
  • Foreground Services: We utilize FOREGROUND_SERVICE to support continuous background audio playback for Quran recitations without interruptions.

2. Data Storage, Security & Hosting Infrastructure

  • Server & Hosting Security: Your personal account information (Name, Email, Profile Picture) is stored on our secure database hosted on a high-standard shared hosting infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure Protection: Our backend server infrastructure aligns with global data protection standards (including GDPR/Data Privacy Framework principles) managed by enterprise-grade hosting providers (e.g., WebPros/cPanel ecosystem), ensuring encryption, physical security, and protection against unauthorized access.
  • Data Retention: We retain your account data only as long as your account remains active with us.

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising

To keep our application free and support ongoing maintenance, we display advertisements via third-party services.

Google AdMob: We integrate Google AdMob to serve Banner and Interstitial Ads. AdMob may automatically collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic data, such as:

  • Advertising IDs
  • IP Address
  • Device parameters and performance diagnostics

4. User Rights & Account / Data Deletion

You retain full control over your personal data:

  • Right to Access & Correct: You can view and update your profile details within the app at any time.
  • Request Account & Data Deletion: If you wish to permanently delete your account and remove all associated personal data (including Full Name, Email Address, Password, and Profile Picture) from our servers, you can send an explicit deletion request to our support team at support@kitabullah.site.
  • Deletion Process & Retention Period: Upon receiving your request, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently erased from our active databases within 7 business days. No user data is retained after account deletion unless required by law.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Application is designed for general audiences, including families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately for prompt deletion.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
